Milk snakes (Lampropeltis triangulum) are common pet snakes of the subfamily Colubrinae, family Colubridae. Taxa include Sinaloan milk snakes (Lampropeltis triangulum sinaloa), Honduran milk snakes (Lampropeltis triangulum hondurensis) and pueblan milk snakes (Lampropeltis triangulum campbelli). The colouring may be similar to the markings of the highly venomous coral snake.
