Minerals
This section is part of Nutrients

Minerals are inorganic substances required by the body for numerous purposes such as the formation of bones and teeth. They are divided into macro minerals and trace minerals and also make up essential components of body fluids and tissues and are necessary for normal function of nerves and enzymes. Mineral requirements can vary depending on age, breed, sex, health and life-stage of the animal.
