I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London, UK in 2009 with a BVetMed Degree. I also hold a BSc Hons in Veterinary Conservation Medicine from Liverpool University

WikiVet involvement

My first involvement with WikiVet was in Summer 2009, where I coordinated the development of WikiQuiz; an RCVS Trust funded intiative to create a bank of multiple choice quizzes within WikiVet. These quizzes include questions from across the site, with comprehensive feedback, and links back in to the relevant WikiVet Content. I am now acting as WikiMaster; overseeing the general progress of the site, and coordinating the developments across different sections, as well as liasing regularly with the authoring and editing teams, and the steering group.

• Introduce code for collapsible tables onto WikiVet
• Created FlashCard extension
  • Converted all old flashcards across into new format
• Initiated following extensions to be introduced to WikiVet
  • Find and replace, ImageMap, Quicktime, Flash Player
• Co-ordinate Nottingham's involvement on the wiki
• Produced the extension WikiQuiz
  • Developed the layout/structure of the quiz section(s)
  • Developed QuizWriter to assist with WikiQuiz quiz development
• Created a number of logos and images used across the wiki (e.g. Image:WikiQuiz logo.png, Image:WikiQuiz logo.png & Banner images)
• Modified the extension wmvplayer to accept videos from external websites.
• Produced a number of templates see below namely toplink
  • Improved the functionality of these templates created by John Tulloch for WikiClinical
• Produced the program 'Content map converter' and 'Content map converter NE' to easily the process of making content maps interactive
• Developed and assisted in the development of the main page, section front pages e.g. Example here, and the login screen
  • Helped open up a non-registered user 'sample section'
  • Helped produce a number of the help pages
    • Help:Extensions and associated pages, Help:Content Maps and associated pages
• Perform overall page maintenance
  • Remove duplicate, old and unused pages across the wiki
  • Produce content maps for many section, notably WikiPath
  • Re-built many sections and altered pages to conform with formating and naming standards or to make the page more accessible from the search function
• Developed and produced the following sections:
  • Lymphatic System^{(table/content map)} of the Anatomy and Physiology
  • Haematopoiesis and Blood Cells section of WikiBlood
  • Immunoglobulins and Complement of Immunology
  • Worked on the development and structure of WikiBlood and WikiNormals

Infotable	Toplink	Citation
This template is designed to automatically display content in preformed tables. Allowing content to be displayed across the full width of the screen and allowing colour coding of sections. This information is currently sitting inside this template.	This template was primarily designed to seamlessly intergrate the page formats created using the infotable template with the standard wikivet page layout as well as allowing the intergration of content maps. It also provides a compact system for displayed links back to higher pages and main sections.	This template was designed to standardise how references for books and journals are displayed on the wiki.

Frontpage	Login Images	Donkey
This template is designed to ease the editing of the frontpages for each of the main sections on WikiVet	This template provides the links and images for the "error" pages that greets non-logged in users trying to reached restricted pages.	This template provides the link to The Donkey Sanctuary found in the right hand side of toplink on all donkey pages.

QuizCat	CTImages
This template produces the categories for the WikiQuiz pages.	Acknowledgement section for CT images.

General use templates:	Specific templates
Template:If provides a basic if function to code. If the set variable is positive (i.e. has a value assigned) then it will display a determined variable, and likewise if the set variable is negative (i.e. no value assigned) then another determined variable is displayed. Template:Param1 provides the variable for template:if to function. Template:Ifeq gives the if function but allows the if to be an exact value.
